Both Johann Stuckmann and his son Friedrich Bökemeier are described in the records as “Meier” = farmer, at Bistrup. This identification became part of the family name as the name changed. Anna Klocken’s father is designated “Grosskalbmeier” = a big veal-raising farmer. Johann Stuckmann is called a “Leibzüchter” – a person who, because of his not being the principal inheritor of a family farm, nevertheless receives a life pension from the principal inheritor.
